Gentlemen,
congratulations on the completion of the draft. Hope most of you happy with the way your team turned out and do not have a lot of second guessing to do prior to the season. But in case you do, PapaBear got a procedure for you for that.

You have an option to put waiver claims prior to the start of the season. We will have 4 claim period this year.
1st: Saturday Oct 2nd at Noon
2nd: Tuesday Oct 5th at Noon
3rd: Thursday Oct 7th at Noon (please keep in mind this is the first day of the season)
4th: Saturday Oct 9th at Noon (for player who' NHL teams have not played yet)

A manager who wants to put a claim for a Free Agent will have to send an email to non participating member of our league: felixtesler@aol.com
He has to receive your email prior to the designated time and date above. If your email arrives after the designated time it will be ignored and will not carry over to next waiver period. (you will have to resend it, if a player you wanted was not yet claimed)
In your claim email please designated the amount of virtual money you are betting on the free agent(s) and who you are dropping in his favor. You can place bets on multiple players and you can drop multiple players. However your roster have to be valid according to our draft rules (5C, 7W, 6D, 2G + 2C, 2W, 2D, G on the bench)

You have a virtual bank of $100 for all of your claims. Spend wisely.
If multiple managers bet on the same player, the manager with the higher bet will win, and he will only lose $1 more than the losing bid on the player. Example: if you bet $40 on Player X and another manager bets $35 on the same FA. You will win that player, and your virtual bank account will be charged $36 (just a dollar more than the losing bet) If nobody else bid on your player, he will cost you $1.

Please keep in mind there is no cents bets, just whole numbers.

In case of a stand off (when multiple managers bid the same amount, priority is resolved in the reverse order of the first bench round) If you do win the priority in this manner, you will be placed at the end of the priority queue for next time.

Please feel free to call or email me if you have any questions.

Important: Not all of you may know, but we have a situation on our hands where CDM Fanball has changed a position on a previosly listed player. Johan Fransen went from C to W, thus impacting one of our managers. This is said and annoying occurrence, that impacted that manager's team.
In order to right the wrong this manager will have a priority for one of the moves in the first pre-season waiver claim as well as will pick first ion the first waiver round during the season (no matter where he places after first month)
We hope you understand the disadvantage this manager was put in by CDM, and do not mind us trying to make it right for him.

Good luck to all and have fun. This is what it all about.

Random Thoughts:
There was an article on TSN outlining that a number of NHL young players were training all summer with Gary Roberts under his very demanding fitness and nutrition program. Food for thoughts. Crosby years ago and Stamkos last year went through the same program program. So do you know who was there this year? Here are some names: Steve Downie, Stephen Weiss, James Neal, Michael Del Zotto. If you own them expect good things i guess.
