I do not have a confirmation just yet, but I did hear that Phil Kessel has been cleared to PLAY (not only practice , but play) and will be in the line up on Thursday Vs Devs.  Being out with mono should be a couple of month type of thing for mortals. Especially with some of the complications that could arise playing a contact sport like hockey. But I guess these rules do not apply to Hockey players (the best athletes in the world).

On the other note hockey world was holding its collective breath yesterday when AO was tripped/hooked by big "Z" and went shoulder first into the boards hard. He stayed on the ice a bit and than went off and did not return in the last 4 minutes of the second period. But once again he is a hockey player. And that was enough for him to be back in the third and it appeared there was no ill effect to his play. Way to go AO. AO is the best thing that happen to  to NHL since the goalie mask. It is hard not to pull for the guy, even if he is not on your fantasy team.
