This is one of the most original fantasy leagues I have ever played.  I might sound like a broken record but I have yet to be amazed.  The reason why we have Goon going crazy updating numbers on this site is because no other fanatsy supports this type of league.  ( I wonder why?Huh?)  Igor great pick yesterday waiting for Bobby Ryan to score a hat trick to make your selection at exactly your deadline.  Although I did not have a pick this waiver, It was funny to watch all of you wait till last second to make your selection, a lot can change with in stats in a 10day waiver.  This league has no characteristics of any fantasy league except that its about hockey. waivers are ment to help guys compete, not make them wait for days or sometimes months until they can pick up a player.  Bressard got injured a month ago and he could not be substituted until our waiver period, and then you have to match points to make sure you dont lose out.  Im just saying that if you want to play fantasy it should be played the right way.

Lenny this is meant with the outermost respect, people always have a choice, you dont have to play it again if you didnt like it; we have been playing it this way for 10 years now and the main core of players hasnt changed...so it works for us, but u have a right to your opinion
...as far as my pick is concerned i knew whom i was taking all along, except i was in some trade discussions hence it took all day, but when i picked him he didnt even score one goal, but i'm pleased to say that 10 mins after my pick; he scored his first...followed by 2nd and 3rd goals.  Marat can back me up on this cause he was on the phone with me at the time...
....sorry that u are not enjoying it...

I can not speak for anyone, but will try to lay down some of the reasons of being here.
As Lenny mentioned there are a bunch of sites where more of a common types of fantasy leagues are played. Everybody pretty much plays the same style be it roto or points league, head to head or tournament style. However one of the reasons I am here is to get away from what everybody else is playing. Did I take it to heart right away, absolutely not. But with time I got to appreciate this somewhat unique style of play. Main thing it is different and as long as rules are set for everybody, it is fair for everybody. What I do  know is that no other main fantasy hockey site allows you to play multiple formats at the same time as we do here. And having intelligence build into roster resolution somewhat makes my time more productive. Instead of worrying who to play on day to day basis , I can concentrate on talking trades and just watching and enjoying hockey fantasy hockey style. I actually got to like the more structured way of waiver periods over the adhoc run and gun add/drops in other leagues. I actually think that makes the league a bit more even and competitive and managers more responsible for their teams.
Do I like everything about the league, absolutely not, but it is the beauty of it. If I did the league would become stagnant and I would probably stop enjoying it. I would love to brain storm with all of you about possibility of keeping points for player who played for your team after you drop them ot trade them, but this would make our format a bit more complicated possibly. Also how about partial keeper options or farm teams, and etc ...
The league is pretty open to other ideas and suggestions and if they make the league more interesting i am sure it would be considered at the very least.
So I do hope you find your way into having fun within confines of this format, because we sure as hell enjoying your open opinions and your participation.

Good luck to all.

PS: as far as Igor's pick of Bobby Ryan i can confirm that the pick was made at the the time LA leading 3:0 as Igor and I were burning a "pre-midnight oil" and I heard a small "midnight prayer" for Bobby Ryan to God that went something like that: "Well I wish Bobby would warrant my pick of him with at least some points, Oh well I will take him anyway".
I guess God is a hockey fan and yesterday he was Igor's team fan.
Good pick Igor.
And I would love to do waivers and possibly even draft live and face to face or online.
I do not mind not having 24 hours for each pick or waiver. I Actually think this is a good suggestion from Lenny.

good luck to all.

And another PS ( i guess it is PS square) for Igor: Sundin Funny - http://www.thehockeynews.com/articles/22169-Loose-Change-Mats-an-owners-manual.html
And How about a bif WOW for Steve Mason. SO against Was without Huselius, Nash, Brassard and bunch of other guys with Ovie taking 12 shots
Not too shabby kid. Rob enjoy.
